Playstore apps proven to be safer in the report of 2016 fiscal

Android phones are facing security problems. Tech companies are working to minimize the insecurity applications in their devices. However, Google has shown the good growth. 2016 was the much safer year for Google Playstore than 2015.

As per the reports, Trojans were found in 0.016% application, Hostile downloaders were found in 0.003% applications, Backdoors were found in 0.003% apps and Phishing applications were 0.0018%.

The report stated, “half of the devices in use at the end of 2016 had not received a platform security update in the previous year. We’re working to increase device security updates by streamlining our security update program to make it easier for manufacturers to deploy security patches and releasing A/B updates to make it easier for users to apply those patches.”
