The 16-year-old Harshit Sharma, living in Chandigarh, claimed that he was selected by Google for the icon designing program. In a statement, Chandigarh's Public Relations Department said that Google has selected him for a special program.

Under the one-year training program, Harshit will be given Rs 4 lakh as a stipend and after completion of one-year training, he will be given a package of Rs 1.44 crore annually. 

After this Google says that they have not selected anyone for such a program. At the moment there is no firm knowledge about whether Google has selected him for this course.
