New Delhi: Google has come up with good news for skilled photographers. The price of its ‘Nik collection’- a set of seven desktop plug-ins will now is free! Before to the news, the plug-ins retailed for $149.Meanwhile,Google has bought German company “NIK” for the mobile editing app Snapseed,the rate for plug-ins earlier was$ 499.95.

Google posted, "Photo enthusiasts all over the world use the Nik Collection to get the best out of their images every day. As we continue to focus our long-term investments in building incredible photo editing tools for mobile, including Google Photos and Snapseed, we’ve decided to make the Nik Collection desktop suite available for free, so that now anyone can use it,"

The customers who buy the plug-ins in 2016 for the $ 149, Google will refund their amount automatically.

The Nik Collection is hold seven desktop plug-ins that give a range of photo editing potential  from filter apps that improve color correction, to retouching and creative effects, to image sharpening that brings out all the hidden details, to the ability to make adjustments to the color and tonality of images.
