The internet giant and the biggest search engine on this planet Google now seems to be more obtuse towards India. On the morning of 21 September, Google’s new messaging app Allo came into the market and was exclusively only available for India. This was a unique thing, because a Tech company which the world’s best launches its product in India than any other country is unusal. This was a clear indication of the importance that the search giant is attaching to India and the Indian market.

Also, Google celebrated its 18th birthday on 27th of September, it announced a slew of products catering to India. A program called the Next Billion Users, has been launched by Google seeing India as the next big nation as an internet user and internet’s best customer for the service provided by it. This the approach by Google to reach the next billion potential users of Internet that don’t even have access to it right now. By the reports of the government by the end of this year there will be 500 million internet users in India, which is certainly more than the USA.

"Over the last year, we have noticed something important about improving our products in India: it makes them better for everyone around the world. In an increasingly mobile-first world, India gives us early insights into the future of the Internet," Google CEO Sundar Pichai said in a write-up in the News paper, Economic Times.
