New Delhi: On Tuesday, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said in a statement that the government is mapping the entire landmark available for business and industrial development. Along with this, the actual single-window clearance mechanism is being prepared. Goyal further said that the government is working on measures to promote the manufacturing of electronic products like LED television, CCTV. The government is very keen on the Semiconductor FAB conspiracy in India.
His ministry is considering creating a framework to capture data related to the export of IT services. Goyal addressed the representatives of electronics and software exports business, saying, "We at DPIIT are working on building a real single window framework, we are looking for the landmarks available for business and industrial development, working towards mapping the land."
He said that "if an electronics business wants to develop the entire ecosystem in a state, then states would be providing electricity and water supply at affordable rates. "Regarding the appeal for promotion on exports under the same merchandise exports from India scheme (MEIS), Goyal said that the ministry is working on the Commission of Duties or Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP). He said that "I can't say whether MEIS will survive after RoDTEP comes into the industry or whether it will continue after December 2020, the decision will be taken afterwards."
