'Let us make India a Country the world looks upon' Piyush Goyal

Honourable Union Minister of Commerce and Industry and Railways,Shri Piyush Goyal said today, the government is opening up the economy for private participation and is working on all ways to remove the entry barriers for new investments. Through the various government initiatives he assured India will overcome the pandemic and make sure our slogan of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas’ a successful. He said the government has opened up defence manufacturing for the domestic industry in a much bigger way and coal mining for commercial engagement. The other sectors where the single window clearance system has been made easy include civil aviation, agriculture and financial services. He asked industrialists, entrepreneurs and other businessman to work together for creation of sustainable infrastructure and new job opportunities.

Piyush Goyal while addressing Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s programme on ‘New World Order- Aatmanirbhar Bharat’said, “The government is opening up the economy for greater private sector engagement. Railways are also opening up for private sector partnerships. Government also has been working in different ways to deregulate, remove entry barriers for new investments”. The reforms in the agriculture sector made by the government will increase productivity and income of farmers. Goyal has described Agricultural reforms as a watershed movement for farmers and this will change the course of history of agriculture in India

The Aatmanirbhar Bharat program enables us to provide better service to India as it opens the doors wider to global engagement to get modern technology from other parts of the world. He added the technologies can be used for domestic industry enhancement, in future India will be a self-reliant country with quality products made within the country. He said during September 1-29, compared to last year 15% more freight was carried by Indian Railways compared to last year. “On September 29, 2020 Indian Railways has moved 33% more freight than it moved on September 29, 2019”, he said. Railway family has taken it upon itself to exceed last year’s performance. He said.”Let us make India a country the world looks upon as a reliable and trusted partner. We need to increase our effort to foster creation of sustainable infrastructure and new job opportunities to become a world leader in areas where India has comparative and competitive advantages”.

Goyal said that India did not make much of masks, PPE kits, testing kits and ventilators at the early period of pandemic but our industry rose to situation and now surplus production is happening.
