New Delhi: The government has tried to remove some of the skepticism about opening shops amid the ongoing lockdown due to Coronavirus. In this, people waiting for the saloon, porler and liquor shops to open have got disappointed. The government has clearly stated that the order has not given approval to open these shops.

The order states that it is permissible to open shops selling essential commodities and all shops outside the hotspot (mostly rural). Actually, the central government order came late on Friday night. It said that all kinds of shops will be allowed to open in other places except Hospot. Conditions like registration of shops were added to it. Referring to Saloon, Punya Salila Srivastava (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs) said that Saloon gives service. Currently, shops that sell certain goods are allowed.

Along with this, he said that it is not allowed to open restaurants. In the clarification, the Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that all shops in rural areas will remain open although malls are not allowed. All standalone shops in urban areas, shops in residential areas and shops located within residential complexes are allowed to be opened.
