Hyderabad: The state government is planning to sell meat under the Telangana brand. In addition, the government is also conducting a study in this regard.

Animal Husbandry Minister Talsani Srinivas Yadav made a big announcement on Sale of Meat on Monday. He directed the authorities to investigate the possibility of opening outlets under the Telangana State Sheep and Goat Development Cooperative Society and make necessary arrangements. The distribution of discounted sheep has already resumed in the state and the process will be completed as per GO 52 to provide the sheep unit to 28,000 applicants who have paid their share.

He directed officials to take strict action against illegal cabbage across the state, including the GHMC border, to prevent artificial rise in meat prices. Srinivas Yadav asked the authorities to take action to meet the local needs of the fishermen in the state.

"Mobile fish outlets will start working across the state from the first week of February, including major reservoirs to sell fish," he said. Additionally, animal husbandry and fisheries personnel have been rationalised to make effective use of available resources. The transfer is indicated. Principal Secretary Anita Rajendra, Fisheries Commissioner Lachiram Earth, Animal Husbandry Director Laxman Reddy, Vijaya Dairy Managing Director Srinivasa Rao and others participated in the meeting.
