The government is in the process of implementing the Universal Basic Income Scheme for the poor. According to the exclusive information given to a news agency, it can be started from Purnea district of Bihar, under which a fixed amount will be given every month in the bank account of the poor family rather than the subsidy on ration.

Let us tell you that recently, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) had said that if India completes the subsidy on food and fuel, then the universal basic income of Rs 2,600 per annum can be made available to every person in the country.

Bank deposit accounts amount will be credited the full amount of the family head of the bank account instead of ration under this scheme. The amount will be fixed on the basis of procurement, transport, storage of ration. Ration card can be used to buy ration from the open market. For the people below the poverty line, this will be the facility. This scheme was recommended in the Economic Survey.

According to sources, will be the full amount instead of the subsidized ration under the Universal Basic Income Scheme. Food Ministry has prepared its proposal. Finance Ministry agrees with the proposal.

Modi government had long ago recommended the income of universal basic income. Such income is to ensure a fixed income every month to every citizen of the country. It was recommended as implementing universal basic income scheme which has logic behind it that will help remove this poverty.
