New Delhi: The Power Ministry plans to sell cheaper ACs on the lines of cheaper bulbs. These ACs will also consume less power and will be cheaper. State-owned Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has announced to sell cheaper ACs in six more cities after Delhi-NCR. EESL provides comparatively cheap and low power consuming air conditioners to the people. The company tweeted that its AC is now available in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Jaipur.
The Super-Efficient AC was launched in July, with 7,500 AC registered so far. The company will launch 50 thousand AC markets initially under the program. The five star AC with a spilled inverter is 1.5 tons, priced at Rs 41,300. The price also charges GST and transportation. The customer is also getting a one-year warranty on this AC. The company says the AC is 40 percent better than any 3-star rating in the market.
According to EESL's website, the AC allows you to save Rs 11,162 in electricity bills every year. To buy this super-efficient AC, customers can order directly by visiting the www.eeslmart.in website. Here you can make an online payment and buy AC. The company claims that the AC will be installed in your home within 72 working hours of making the payment. The government has brought this scheme so that even low-income people can use AC and power consumption is also reduced.
