Govt's another big step, a grand statue of Netaji to be installed at India Gate

New Delhi: A huge statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose will be installed at India Gate in Delhi. PM Narendra Modi tweeted a photo of Netaji's statue and reported it. India is currently celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. This statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose will be made of granite.

In a tweet, the same Prime Minister Modi said that it will be a symbol of gratitude to Netaji. The Prime Minister said that at a time when the whole of India is celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, he is happy to share a huge statue of Him. This statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose will be made of granite. It will be installed at India Gate.

 

The same recently, the Amar Jawan Jyoti, which has been burning at India Gate for the past 50 years, will be merged with the flame burning at the National War Memorial today. Amar Jawan Jyoti was established in memory of Indian soldiers who were martyred in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. India had success in this war and Bangladesh was formed. It was inaugurated by the then PM Indira Gandhi on January 26, 1972. Army officials said this on Thursday. Army officials said, Amar Jawan Jyoti will be merged with a burning flame at the National War Memorial this afternoon, which is only 400 metres on the other side of India Gate.
