Government's big decision, free vaccination in govt hospitals from this day

New Delhi: After health workers and frontline workers, now the Modi government has taken a big decision on corona vaccination of old people. Vaccination of persons above 60 years of age will be done from 1 March. Co-morbid persons above 45 years of age will also undergo vaccination from March 1. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Wednesday that vaccination will be free at government centers. The price will be decided by the Ministry of Health for a private hospital vaccination camp. The second round of vaccination will also include people above the age of 45 who have co-morbidities.

Giving the news, Prakash Javadekar said that so far 17 million 67 thousand persons have been vaccinated under the vaccination program in India, while more than 14 lakh persons have been given a second dose of vaccine. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that those who want to get the corona vaccine in private hospitals will have to pay money.

Javadekar said that the Health Ministry will fix the price of the corona vaccine in the next 2-3 days. The ministry is currently in talks with Corona vaccine manufacturers and hospitals. Javadekar said that in the vaccination starting from March 1, 10,000 government and 20,000 private immunization centers will be vaccinated. Vaccines will be provided free of cost in government centers.
