New Delhi: The Dearness Allowance (DA) of other employees is also on the rise after the announcement of the Central Government. Now, on the occasion of Chhath festival, a big gift has been given to the employees of BSNL. The dearness allowance of these employees has been increased by more than 9 percent. Their salaries will go up in November. The HRA will also be increased. This way the employees will have a double benefit.
According to the government order, the DA of employees has increased from 170 percent to 179.3 percent. Now, the people working at the board level and below the board level of the BSNL will be given DA according to this increased rate. State that the DA has increased for employees who are getting salaries on the basis of pay revision of 2007. It also covers Non-executive employees. However, this will not affect the amount of DA of 1st October, 2020, January, 2021 and April, 2021. Because DA Freeze was done during that time. While the DA for 01.10.2020 to 30.06.2021 is 159.9 percent.
Recently, the Central Government had said that Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) had a total of 1,49,577 employees, out of which 78,323 people have retired under a voluntary retirement scheme (VRS). Minister of State for Communications Devensingh Chauhan had said that as on January 1, 2020, the total number of employees of BSNL was 1,49,577. Thereafter, 78,323 employees have retired voluntarily under VRS. As on 31st May, 2021, the number of landline subscribers had gone up to 2.16 Crore.
