New Delhi: After the arrival of new strains of Coronavirus, the risk of infection does not seem to be present. Employees are being advised to work from home only. Now the government is considering bringing such rules, under which employees will be given the opportunity to choose the option of working from home.

The Union Labor Ministry on Friday drafted the work from home for the mining, manufacturing and service sectors under the new Industrial Relations Code. The Ministry has said that this draft has been issued with the aim of formalizing the rules related to service sectors. It is being told that in the new rule, the decision of working hours for the employees of the IT sector can be left to the employees only. The ministry has sought suggestions from the general public on the New Industrial Relations Code. People can send their suggestions to the Ministry of Labor within 30 days. This law is likely to be implemented by the Ministry of Labor from 1 April.

Keeping in mind the requirements of the service sector, a separate model has been made for the first time in the 'Work from Home' draft of the Ministry of Labor. In this new model, modifications can also be made according to the need. In this, provisions have also been made for the safety of employees working in the IT sector. According to the draft, the IT sector employees can be given many concessions and facilities with this new rule. In this draft, the employees of the IT sector can also get exemption of working hours.
