According to the recent news, the Ministry of Human Resource Development has launched the Internship Scheme 2019 for the students of graduates of prestigious institutes of the country or institutions who have done better in the rankings. This internship is for an Indian citizen and an Indian citizen settled abroad. Under this scheme, undergraduate students who have completed at least two years or four semesters will be given training for two months in the Higher Education Department, School Department and Literacy Department, Government of India. The internship period of some students will be extended to six months if required. However, students who have completed their graduation course by November or December 2019 will also be given the chance to join this internship program. The last date for receiving the applications duly filled for the internship is 10 November 2019. Ratnesh Kumar Gupta, Under Secretary in the ministry, told that the internship will be done twice a year.

It is to be noted that this will happen in November / December and April / May. The scheme aims to provide young students the opportunity to become partners for policy-making, project implementation and various education initiatives for mutual benefit. Internships will be conducted in 15 departments or institutes of the Government of India. For internship, an intern will be given a notional stipend (training allowance) of Rs. 10 thousand per month. The intern will be issued a certificate by the bureau upon the successful completion of his internship. He will be provided intercom, telephone, internet, stationery during his internship. Interns are required to submit a brief report about their experience to the concerned bureau at the end of their assignment.

The eligibility for doing this internship is that Indian and Overseas Citizen of India cardholders or graduate students of national importance and excellent institutions and students of technical and management who study in the country or abroad in the three or four year undergraduate program, and institute of National Institute of Management ranking Top 10 institutes in the category of law institutes as well as the 50th rank Not the method in studying student and the National Institute ranking Framework 2019 students coming institutes 100th QS ranking globally with students of institutions to 50th rank.
