India's 13-year-old Grandmaster D Gukesh won the title of the 34th Cannes Open Chess Tournament with 7.5 points after defeating host country Harutyun Bargseghyan in the final round in Cannes, France on Saturday, February 22, 2020.

According to reports, last year, Gukesh, who became the second-youngest Grandmaster of the world, defeated the French rival in 50 moves. The Tamil Nadu player won his first open title as the 110th Anniversaries Open tournament in Hillerød, Denmark last week.
