Sometimes children used to hear stories about the wisdom of Rama and Tenali Rama and the stories of Panchatantra from parents and grandmothers or grandparents. To solve this in the digital era, storytelling toy 'Neo' has been introduced, which is an app based. 

Using ' Neo' children can hear old-time stories in their parents' voice too. It is not necessary for them to sit near their children. Parents can record stories using this app and send it to the Neo via the Internet and kids can listen to them whenever they want according to their wishes.  

It has the ability to store data up to a GB. More than 100 stories can be filled in this. Amit Deshpande, co-founder of Social Toys, said that "Neo can not be a substitute for parents, but this allows parents to listen to stories in their voices. It is a good medium to connect grandparents with children." He said, "Neo is a toy that children can keep with them. 

The company has planned to start selling this toy by January next year. When it is made available to the public, then its price will be Rs. 3500. Deshpande said, "In the first year, we are thinking of selling 5000 to 7,000 neo toys."
