The Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati has been facing a lot of trouble since its announcement. After a string of protests by the Rajput Karni Sena, the makers were forced to postpone the film's release date for political reasons. The controversies around the release of the film refuse to die down.

But, it seems like, things will soon settle down. If reports are to go, the film will be given a green signal by CBFC today. According to the source, "There's been no official intimation from the producers. Whenever they plan to release it, we will be happy to give them the promised number of screens." Another source says, "Once the certificate comes, the producers will decide when they want to release Padmavati. As of now, they're looking at January 5 and January 12."

The movie stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. The controversy began where rumours started making the rounds that there are love scenes between Deepika's character Rani Padmini and Ranveer's character Alauddin Khilji. However, Bhansali and Padmavati team clearly denied any such scenes shot between the two.

A few months ago, they had even shared an official statement regarding the same. Their statement read, "The misunderstanding they had on the content of the film has been cleared and clarified. We have clearly stated that there is no romantic scene or song or dream sequence between Rani Padmavati and Allauddin Khilji.
