Grenade attack in Kashmir, Policeman injured

Wednesday, a policeman was injured in a grenade attack by militants in Anantnag district of south Kashmir, police said. Militants hurled a grenade towards a stationary vehicle of a senior police officer outside the court complex in Anantnag town around 1 pm, police official said.

Officials added, the grenade exploded on the roadside, causing injuries to constable Ghulam Hassan, a personal security guard of the police officer.

Hassan was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
