President Ram Nath Kovind awarded Group Captain Abhinandan Vardhaman (Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman) of the Indian Air Force the Veer Chakra  today. Since then, there has been nothing but congratulations. There is nothing except discussion about him. Let us tell you that on February 27, 2019, Group Captain (then Wing Commander) Abhinandan crossed the Pakistani border and shot down his F-16 fighter plane. Yes, and on the second day of the Balakot Air Strike, they pursued a Pakistani fighter jet. I should also mention that he was previously given the Shaurya Chakra for this.

Now that he got the Veer Chakra today, there is a hue and cry on Twitter. Here the hashtag is trending #AbhinandanVarthaman, #VirChakra and #NationalHeros. Now people are posting a photo of Group Captain Abhinandan Vardhaman taking the 'Veer Chakra' honour and calling it Photo of the Day. Many people are writing with this photo that we are proud of this son of the country. Many people are making poems and posting and congratulating Abhinandan. Let me tell you all that wing commander (now Group Captain) Abhinandan's MiG-21 bison plane met with an accident while dogfighting with a Pakistani F-16 fighter aircraft on February 27, 2019. In fact, he had reached the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) border and landed here with the help of a parachute.

Locals attacked him, and Pakistani troops eventually arrested him. After then, the Pakistan Army published a video of Abhinandan blindfolded and laying in a pool of blood. Pakistan handed him over to India on March 1, 2019, just two days later.
