The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection stood at Rs 90,917 crore in June amid the epidemic corona crisis. Earlier in May, the GST collection stood at Rs 62,009 crore. In April, the government earned Rs 32,294 crore through GST. Out of the gross GST collection in June, the government received Rs 18,980 as CGST. The government raised Rs 23,970 crore through SGST. The government earned Rs 40,302 crore as IGST.

Regarding the matter, it has been told in the official statement that, "In June 2020, the total GST collection stood at Rs. 90,917 crores. Of these, CGST collection stood at Rs 18,980 crore. SGST collection stood at Rs 23,970 crore. A collection of Rs 40,302 crore as IGST. 7,665 crores income as cess.

The government has given an exemption in the deadline for filing Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns. This year, the returns of February, March and April were filed in June 2020.
