GST department has received the tax of Rs 90,669 crore in the second month of GST implementation 'August'
In an official statement, the government has given this information. "In the different categories, revenue of Rs 90,669 crore has been received up to 25 September under GST."
The figure of GST given by 10.24 lakh taxpayers who have opted for composition scheme is not included. However, the government is hopeful that the GST will further increase its earnings.
Similarly, according to the revised estimates for July, the GST collection was Rs 94,063 crore. Earlier it was estimated at Rs 92,283 crore. According to the statement, Rs. 14,402 crore under CGST (Central GST-Central GST) in August, Rs 21,067 crore under State GST-State GST SGST, Rs 47,377 crore under integrated GST and cess levied on luxury products The compensation cess amounted to Rs. 7823 crore.
The last date for filing GST and GST-3B for the month of August was September 20. This figure has been released on the basis of those who have filed GST tax until September 20.
The increase in data will be declared in the coming time soon. Further, in the statement, it has been said that there are still many taxpayers who have not filed returns in July or August.
