New Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday issued new guidelines saying that only those who have taken both doses of corona vaccine are allowed to attend the Republic Day celebrations to be held at Rajpath on January 26 and children below the age of 15 years are not allowed to attend the event. Police also said that people will have to follow all corona related protocols including wearing masks, following social distensing during the event to be held at Rajpath.
In a tweet, police said that in order to attend the function, both doses of corona vaccine are required to be administered. Visitors are requested to bring their immunization certificates. Police said children below the age of 15 years are not allowed to attend the Republic Day celebrations. State that corona vaccine campaign was launched on 16th January last year and from this month it has also been started for adolescents in the age group of 15-18 years.
Delhi Police in its guidelines has said that the seating blocks of visitors will be opened at 7 am and they should arrive accordingly. Police said parking space is limited, so visitors are advised to pool cars or use taxis. The police have also requested the people to bring valid Identity Cards and cooperate in the security check. Police tweeted that arrangements are also in place to deposit remote controlled car lock keys in every parking area.
