Gandhi Nagar: Heavy rains and floods continue to wreak havoc in Gujarat. Due to the incessant rains, many dams of Gujarat have been completely filled. This has increased the danger in the surrounding areas. In view of the danger, 23 gates of Narmada dam have been opened on Saturday. The water level of Narmada Dam, Sardar Sarovar Dam has increased a lot. Now 5 lakh cusecs of water is being released from this dam.

An alert has been issued in some villages of Bharuch district before the water is released. The second time 23 gates have been opened after the Sardar Sarovar Dam was built. Due to heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, 23 gates of the dam have been opened. Earlier, 10 gates of Narmada Sardar Sarovar Dam were opened. The Sardar Sarovar Dam is still flowing over 130 meters. Alert has been issued for 30 villages around Narmada.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Gujarat in the next two days. With this, the water level in Sardar Sarovar Dam is expected to increase further. In view of this, instructions have been issued to open the doors. On the other hand, due to the heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, the gates of the dam have also been opened. Gates have been opened due to the continuous flow of water in the dam.
