AHMEDABAD: After a year of opening the world's highest statue 'Statue of Unity' to the public, the work of cleanliness has now started. It is difficult to clean such a big idol, in such a situation, the help of many modern techniques including cranes is being taken. In this episode, the plate in the statue will be opened from 11 places. Two gates of 2.1 meters high and 1.8 meters width will be made by cutting the plate of both feet of the idol.

One of these doors would have elevators and the other would have stairs. It is being told that these doors can be used to see the statue. At the same time, the officers have also said that the work of making the door in the feet of the statue has started for security. However, no changes will be made to the original design of the statue.

Let us tell you, the 'Statue of Unity' situated on the Narmada coast in Kevadia had the distinction of being the world's tallest statue, breaking the record of Buddha statue located in China. The height of the Statue of Unity is 597 feet. There are 2 lifts for people to take it to the viewing gallery. There is also a separate door for emergency. An automatic sprinkler system has also been installed to deal with fire-like conditions.
