Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], November 20 (NT): Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) people in the wee hours of Sunday remonstration against Congress Party in Ahmedabad and Surat, expressing disappointment over ticket allotment ahead of assembly elections in the poll-bound state.

Following the release of Congress' list of candidates which includes only three PAAS candidates, annoyed supporters of the community staged the protest.

In Surat, the tense protestors conflict witch Congresspeople, and purportedly damaged the party`s office.

Talking to NT in Ahmedabad, PAAS leader Dinesh Patel told, "We'll remonstration in opposition to Congress tomorrow, and will alter about extending our support to them, who are skirting their accountability. We'll also ask the public to alter about Congress because they are not replying a simple question. How can we look forward to being heard when our questions are also not being answered by Congress?" also added,

"We'll ask our party contenders to not register a nomination. If they still do, we'll protest against them also," he insisted

A conflict also blew up between Patel and police personnel outside the dwelling of Gujarat Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki.

Patel informed that PAAS members had to wait for hours outside after they were called to Solanki's residence for a meeting.

 

"All we want to ask him is why he declared our members' names," he said Media.

 

After that, Patel alleged that the concerned police people ill-treated and threatened to take into custody him.

The Patidar leader also alleged that the Police has been targeting the community, and airs a threat to their lives.

"Police people are detaining us under the power and out of uniform too. They want to kill us. Our life is under threat," he quoted(NT)
