Ahmedabad: In Surat, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha Vice President Shraddha Rajput has accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Isudan Gadhvi and several of his party workers of molesting her. Shraddha has said that several people including AAP leaders Isudan Gadhvi, Gopal Italia maltreated and abused her drunk. According to reports, police took Gadhvi, Italia and Praveen Ram into custody and took them to the hospital for medical tests following a complaint by the woman leader. However, they were released after investigation. The medical examination report will come on Wednesday (December 22, 2021).

Talking to the media, Shraddha said, "AAP leaders had cordoned off the BJP office in Gandhinagar. When the security personnel tried to stop them at the gate, they started misbehaving. They were all drunk.'' We came out when there was a noise. Shraddha alleged that AAP workers were also abusing her during this time. The AAP leaders were protesting against the alleged head clerk paper leak case in the state on December 12. Shraddha said Gadhvi along with her colleagues misbehaved with me. I asked him to behave a good deal, yet he refused.

Shraddha also said that women AAP activists also assaulted her and beat her with sticks. Shraddha also alleged that both Gopal Italia and Isudan Gadhvi misbehaved with her even after the crowd dispersed. Shraddha said, 'I have lodged a complaint with the police. I have bruises on many parts of my body, which I can't show.' AAP leaders and workers had cordoned off the BJP office in Gandhinagar. BJP workers also reached the spot in large numbers and the two groups clashed. The police had to resort to using force to control the crowd.
