Ahmedabad: The number of Corona patients has reached 262 with 21 new cases by Thursday evening in Gujarat. So far 17 people have lost their lives in the state from Corona. While 26 people have been discharged from the hospital after recovering. Giving information, the state's Chief Health Secretary, Dr. Jayanthi Ravi said that till Thursday evening, 21 new cases have been registered in Gujarat.

He said that of the new 21 cases, 8 in Ahmedabad, 2 in Rajkot, 4 in Vadodara and 7 cases of Patan. He said that by speeding up the investigation process in the cluster and hotspot area, the number of corona infected cases has increased. Due to the dense population of hotspots, corona infection has increased rapidly and there is a possibility of further increase in the coming days. However, there is nothing to worry about. Jayanthi Ravi said that so far a total of 26 people have been discharged from the hospital after recovering.

He said that the number of corona patients in Ahmedabad has increased to 142. While 25 in Surat, 22 in Vadodara, 18 in Bhavnagar, 13 in Gandhinagar, 13 in Rajkot, 12 in Patan, 3 in Porbandar, 3 in Gir Somnath, 2 in Kutch, 2 in Mehsana, 2 in Chhotaudpur, 2 in Anand, 241 cases of Corona have been registered across the state including 1 in Morbi, 1 in Panchmahal, 1 in Jamnagar, 1 in Sabarkantha and 1 in Dahod.
