Ahmedabad: The BJP has won the Assembly elections in Gujarat for the seventh consecutive time. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel also won the election from the Ghatlodia seat by a huge margin. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and state BJP president CR Patil celebrated the party's performance in the assembly elections by feeding sweets.

CM Bhupendra Patel has won from Ghatlodia in his constituency Ahmedabad by a margin of 1,92,263 votes, defeating Congress' Ami Yagnik. MLA Bhupendra Patel, who won the 2012 and 2017 assembly elections from this constituency, will again take over as the CM of Gujarat. In 2012, BJP candidate Anandiben Patel won by over 1 lakh votes. In 2017, Bhupendra Patel defeated Congress candidate Shashikant Bhurabhai by a margin of 1 lakh 17 thousand votes. This year, Congress fielded Ami Yagnik and AAP fielded Vijay Patel from the Ghatlodia assembly seat.

At the same time, in the latest trends, BJP is leading in 158 seats. BJP's victory is also being celebrated in Ahmedabad. People from the Muslim community in the Maninagar area have prepared 151 kg of Bundi laddoos to celebrate the BJP's victory. Muslim BJP supporters in the area say that Narendra Bhai Modi's record has been broken by Bhupendra Bhai. They said "The BJP is winning more than 150 seats, so we have made 151 kg laddoos. Supporters say that there is peace in Gujarat due to the BJP government. That is why we are celebrating the victory of the BJP.''
