Ahmedabad: A village falling under Morbi district of Gujarat is reportedly cursed. Almost everyone living here has a surname. In this village of about 700 people, everyone is 'Charavadiya'. It is said that whoever has to live in this village, it is mandatory to keep the surname Charavadiya. It is said that years ago, people of some other surname tried to stay here, but later they left the village after getting fed up with diseases.

At a distance of 13 km from the town of Wankaner in Morbi district, there is a village named Bokardthambha of the Charavadiya people. People of the same surname have lived in this village for the last hundred years. The entry of people who do not bear the surname Charavadia is forbidden in this village. The villagers give a reason behind this curse. It is said that the curse starts to have a negative effect on the people living in this village without Charavadiya surname. Ghanshyam Maharaj, an elder of the village, says that there is a belief that this village is cursed and no one can live here without the surname Charavadia.

He said that many years ago some families tried to stay here, but later they left the village and left. He said that people in his family had started falling ill in turn, so he thought it appropriate to leave the village. The 85-year-old Mangabapa Charavadia of the village narrates the story of the village settlers, saying that thousands of years ago, the rulers of Wankaner settled four brothers in this village. This entire village is a descendant of the same four brothers.
