Gujarat's new cabinet formed, 24 ministers took oath

Ahmedabad: In the presence of new Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office to a total of 24 ministers in the new cabinet. Gujarat Assembly Speaker Rajendra Trivedi has duly joined CM Bhupendra Patel's cabinet. Harsh Sanghvi (Surat), Jagdish Panchal (Ahmedabad), Brijesh Merja (Morbi), Jitu Bhai Chaudhary and Mahi Manisha Vakil were sworn in as ministers of state for CM Bhupendra. Many ministers also had the Bhagavad Gita in their hands while taking the oath.

 

Mukesh Patel, Nimisha Suthar, Arvind Rayani, Kuber Dindor and Kirti Vaghela were sworn in as Ministers of State. Gajendra Parmar, Raghav Makwana, Vinod Mordia, Deva Malam was also sworn in as ministers of state in the new government. Former BJP President Jitu Vaghani, Surat MLA Purnesh Modi, North Gujarat BJP MLA Rishikesh Patel and Congress-turned-BJP MLA Raghav Patel has also been inducted into the cabinet. Trivedi had earlier resigned as speaker of the assembly. Surat MLA Harsh Sanghvi, Brijesh Merja and others are among those who have joined the cabinet.

 

Nimaben Acharya, MLA from Kutch Bhuj, has been made the Acting Speaker of the Gujarat Assembly. Ahmedabad MLA Pradeep Parmar, Kirit Singh Rana, Arjun Singh Chauhan, Kanu Desai and Naresh Patel have also been given ministerial post in the cabinet.
