Ahmedabad: Police have now become active in the 'sex video' that has created political turmoil in Gujarat. Police have taken two accused into custody and questioned them in the case. The accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) activists Madhabhai Patel and Mukesh Rajput had claimed the viral video clip to belong to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Parbatbhai Patel.

The MP's son Shailesh Patel had lodged a police complaint against Madhabhai Patel and Mukesh Rajput on Tuesday. At the same time, his father was accused of conspiring to defame and extort money. The Tharad police station in Banaskantha district registered an FIR on the complaint of Shailesh Patel. Both the accused have been taken into custody for questioning. AAP activist Madhabhai Patel had earlier posted the entire video clip on his Facebook page on August 15 to go viral.

But, this video went viral before August 15.  After the video went viral, MP Parbatbhai Patel had said, 'I have never done anything bad in my life. My photo may have been edited and morphed.'
