New Delhi: The country is going to complete 75 years of its independence on 15 August 2022. In such a situation, the Government of India has started celebrating the 'Amrit Mahotsav of Independence' program. The program is scheduled to run for 75 weeks. Today this program is going to start from the Sabarmati Ashram of President Mahatma Gandhi. In such a situation, PM Modi has inaugurated cultural and digital programs related to 'Azad Ka Amrit Mahotsav' at 10:30 am. He has reached Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad and here he paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. Now he is going to address the people present in the Sabarmati Ashram.

 

 

This day has been chosen for this beginning, because today, President Mahatma Gandhi started the Dandi March. The Prime Minister is also going to flag off a padayatra from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad and this padayatra will go to Navsari's Dandi. Today PM Modi tweeted before the start of the program. In this tweet, he said, 'Today's Amrit Mahotsav program will be held from Sabarmati Ashram, from where Dandi March started. The march played an important role in furthering the sense of pride and self-feeling among the people of India. The introduction of VocalForLocal is a wonderful tribute to Bapu and our great freedom fighters.'

 

 

Simultaneously, PM Modi also said in another tweet, 'Buy any local product and post a picture on social media using #VocalForLocal. A spinning wheel will be installed near Magan Niwas at Sabarmati Ashram. It will rotate the entire cycle with every tweet related to Aatmanirbharta.'
