Gandhinagar: The costly bill of hospitals in the corona epidemic has upset the families of patients to such an extent that earlier where they used to visit hospitals for their loved ones. At the same time, the bank now has to go around the bank over the hospital bill. Rajan Bhalani, a resident of Gandhinagar in Gujarat, still has moist eyes when he remembers his father and looks at his picture.

In fact, Rajan Bhalani's father Jayesh Bhalani died due to corona infection. After 40 days of treatment at two different hospitals in Gandhinagar, he lost the battle to corona. Seeing the bill given by the hospital after treatment, the ground slipped under Rajan's feet. Rajan's father stayed on ventilator for about 10 days and the hospital charged him 50,000 per day for the ventilator. Collected around 75,000 daily in the name of charging medicines and injections. The total bill of the hospital was Rs 18 lakh, while the bill for injection and medicine was added to Rs 15 lakh.

Rajan Bhalani was most upset that the hospital was holding him the bill every day. He even managed remdesivir, tosilozumbe, blood plasma, all these things to save his father. For which he took a loan of about Rs 35 lakh from the bank on his own overdraft, so that the loans of those who lent money for the treatment could be repaid. The situation today is that whatever salary comes, it goes directly in installments. Rajan now wants the government to formulate a policy so that hospitals do not charge so much money from patients.
