Ahmedabad: Tension prevailed in Gujarat's Kheda due to stone pelting at Garba during the Navratri festival. 6 people have been injured in this stone pelting. Police said a group of people started pelting stones. Police have detained 10-11 people in connection with the incident and are interrogating them.

In fact, on Monday (October 3, 2022), some people of a group pelted stones during the Navratri festival at Undhela in Kheda, due to which there was a situation of tension in the atmosphere. 6 people have been injured in this incident. The DSP of Kheda said that the group that pelted stones was run by two persons named Arif and Zaheer. Police officials have said that the village headman had organised a Garba event during the Navratri festival. The event was held near a temple in the heart of the village. There is also a mosque near it. A large number of women were also present in this program. During this time some people of the Muslim community reached there and asked the people to stop the program. The criminals then started pelting stones.

As soon as the incident was reported, Kheda district DSP Rajesh Gadhiya and the local crime branch team of the district reached the spot. The DSP has said that the accused are being identified and strict action will be taken against them. Along with this, the atmosphere of the village has deteriorated since last night's incident, due to which the police have been deployed and necessary arrangements have been made so that there is no uncertainty again.
