Gujjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla has threatened the Rajasthan government saying people will leave only after getting 5 per cent reservation. He also requested the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government to not do anything to provoke people of Rajasthan and added that they are waiting for his instructions. Bainsla told that “Let’s sort it out in a peaceful manner. The earlier the better,”.

It is to be noted that after Rajasthan minister Bhanwar Lal, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot also appealed to the Gujjars that his government is ready to help them but they should voice out their demands to the Centre. He further said that it is up to the Centre what decision they take. Saying that the country is facing huge loss as trains are getting cancelled or diverted Gehlot appealed to the community leaders to start a dialogue with the government.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan minister Bhanwar Lal appealed to the Gujjar community to put pressure on PM Narendra Modi to give 5 per cent reservation to them the way the Centre gave 10 per cent quota to General Category.

The minister said and appealed to the Gujjar community to not resort to violence “Our government is 45 days old, we're not saying no. If they will block roads then the government will also do its work,”. He also urged Bainsla to send his team for dialogue with the state government. Gujjar agitation entered the fourth day today and community members blocked National Highway-11, which connects Jaipur with Agra, in Rajasthan's Dausa district.

However, the protest turned violent on Sunday when shots were fired and police vehicles were torched in Dholpur district, after which authorities imposed section 144 in Dholpur and Karauli districts. The agitation has affected the movement of more than 250 trains. Yesterday 7 trains were cancelled and 9 were diverted in the state due to the ongoing agitation.
