According to the legal notice, Aggarwal submitted his story in March 2018 and was later shortlisted in the competition. At the same time, the legal notice has been sent to the producers of the film "Gulabo Sitabo" on behalf of Akira Aggarwal, lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui, demanding to see the complete script of the film.

In fact, Akira Aggarwal has also lodged a complaint in this regard at Juhu Police Station in Mumbai and he has alleged that the story of 'Gulabo Sitabho', its background and theme is similar to '16 Mohandas Lane'. At the same time, it has been said in his complaint that Akira Aggarwal has also approached the Screenwriters Association (SWA) for mediation. In fact, the association asked Chaturvedi to submit his script, however, she failed to do so and refused to believe that she had never received this script.
