Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy is receiving rave reviews from Indian audience and critics as well.  Film has registered Rs 72 crore at the box office at the end of it’s first weekend. The Zoya Akhtar directorial opened to Rs 19.40 crore on Thursday and went on to record an earning of Rs 13.10 crore on Friday. The movie witnessed a rise in collection on Saturday and Sunday

 According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Gully Boy recorded Rs 18.65 crore on Saturday and witnessed an increase on Sunday as the movie collected Rs 21.30 crore on Sunday.He wrote, “#GullyBoy has excellent *extended* weekend... Will cross ₹ 75 cr today [Mon]... Metros exceptional... Mumbai circuit terrific... Tier-2 cities pick up... Metros to trend strongly on weekdays... Thu 19.40 cr, Fri 13.10 cr, Sat 18.65 cr, Sun 21.30 cr. Total: ₹ 72.45 cr. India biz.”

These collections have helped Gully Boy put up an impressed opening weekend box office collection of Rs 72.45 crore at the Indian box office. Although the worldwide numbers for Sunday are yet to come, the number until Saturday reveal that Gully Boy has been doing good business in the overseas market. The movie has earned $ 1.5 million [Rs 10.70 crore] in USA and Canada, $894k [Rs 6.38 crore] in UAE and GCC, £181,307 [Rs 1.67 crore] in the UK, $320,435 [Rs 1.63 crore] in Australia and $83,588 [₹ 40.94 lakhs] in New Zealand and Fiji.

Gully Boy directorial explores the story of Murad, a boy who wants to become a rapper and his journey to making it big in the music industry.
