Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy opened to an impressive Rs 19.40 crore on its first day. It is receiving rave reviews at the box-office and it is reflecting positively on the collection of the film. By the end of the first weekend, Gully Boy earned Rs 72.45 crore. With the impressive opening weekend collection, Gully Boy has registered the highest opening weekend box office collection of 2019.

Box office collection: Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika enters the Rs 100 crore club

 The Zoya Akhtar directorial has beaten Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Attack and Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi to nab the top spot. Uri recorded an opening weekend box office collection of Rs 35.73 crore in three days. However, Manikarnika beat the URI with a collection of Rs 42.55 crore in its first weekend.

Gully Boy benefitted the most with the extended weekend. The movie also benefitted over the weekend. As per Taran Adarsh, Gully Boy’s Day 1 to Day 4 collection looked like this, Friday – Day 2 collection: Rs 13.10 crore, Saturday – Day 3 collection: Rs 18.65 crore and Sunday – Day 4 collection: Rs 21.30 crore.

Talking about overall collection, the movie has earned Rs 222.80 crore until this weekend and Manikarnika joined the 100-crore club over the weekend with a collection of Rs 100.50 crore collection.
