Ranveer's 'Gully Boy' still a hit, arrives at Melbourne Festival

Actor Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's 'Gully Boy', which was released on Valentine's Day this year, proved to be the first biggest hit of the year in the country, while the film is now set to be filmed abroad. Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar is also set to take her film 'Gully Boy' to the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2019.

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt played a key role in the film and this is the 10th year of the festival and will be hosted by the director and his film is also to be screened. The director will also hold a detailed discussion on Indian cinema with the audience on August 10.

"It is always a great experience to see Indian cinema travelling across the border and as a filmmaker, it is a great experience and it is also exciting to see the celebration of Indian films," Zoya said in a statement.

"I am delighted to be invited to 'IFFM 2019' in Melbourne, where all cultures meet. The Indian community in Australia is on a large scale and I am also very excited to discuss the special screening of 'Gully Boy' in Australia and with the Australian audience on cinema."
