Lucknow: On Tuesday (May 17, 2022) in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a young man renounced Islam and returned home to Hinduism. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have made the youth return home to Hinduism. Gulnaz adopted Hindu religion by law in the Ram Janaki temple located in Khirnibagh Mohalla of the city. The priests applied tilak to the young man and put on the name of Shri Ram. Along with offering worship and aarti, Geeta was also presented. After this Gulnaz alias Virat Kumar raised slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Har Har Mahadev'. He told that he is a resident of Misripur village under Ramchandra Mission police station area and works as a carpenter.

Talking to the media, Gulnaz told that he has left Islam and returned to Sanatan Dharma of his own free will. He said, 'Earlier our name was Gulnaz. Now our name is Virat Kumar. Our ancestors were Sanatani. Looking from there, I understood what is good and what is bad. After that we went back to our original religion. The young man who became Virat Kumar from Gulnaz told that his family consists of mother, sister and brother. Now he has adopted Sanatan Dharma alone.

On being asked that if he too stays in the same house, will there not be any kind of problem? Virat said no, there will be no problem. No family members have objected nor objected to his return to Sanatan Dharma by renouncing Islam. Nobody mind. He is happy with his decision.
