Gupt Navratri has started from today. From today onwards, seekers of tantra learning will offer special prayers to please 10 Mahavidyas. There are four Navratri in a year. Various forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped on the 9th day of Gupt Navratri falling on the Shukla Paksha of the month of Magh. It is said that few people have the knowledge of Navratri to be held in the month of Ashadh, hence it is called Gupt Navratri. Special wishes are accomplished in this Navratri. Today we are going to tell you the mythology of Gupt Navratri.

Mythology of Gupt Navaratri: According to mythology, it is an ancient time when the sage Shringi was giving discourses to the devotees. During this time, a woman from the crowd folded her hand and came in front of the sage and started telling her problem. The woman said that her husband is surrounded by distractions and hence she is unable to do any fast, religious rituals, etc. The woman also said that she wants to go to the shelter of Goddess Durga, but this is not possible due to her husband's sinfulness.

Hearing this, the sage told that in Shardiya and Chaitra Navratri, everyone worships Goddess Durga and everyone is familiar with it, but apart from this, there are two more Navratri. The sage told that 10 Mahavidyas are worshiped in two Gupt Navratri instead of 9 goddesses. The sage told the woman that by doing this all kinds of sorrows will be removed and life will be filled with happiness. Hearing this, the woman secretly worshiped Goddess Durga in Gupt Navratri according to the sage. Goddess Durga was born with this reverence and devotion and this resulted in the fact that her husband starts moving towards right path. The woman's house was also filled with happiness.
