During the bloody conflict between China and India, DC of Gurdaspur reached to meet the family of Satnam Singh, who was martyred in a skirmish with the Chinese troops on the Ladakh border in Galvan Valley. On the morning of Thursday, DC Mohammad Isfaq reached the martyr's house and expressed his condolences to his bereaved family. During this, he said that the martyrdom of the martyr will not go in vain. A gate will be erected in his name by the administration. Every possible assistance will be provided to the family.

For your information, let us tell you that Satnam Singh (42) son Jagir Singh, resident of Bhojraj, village of Ghumman Kalan, got martyrdom while guarding the border in Ladakh. There is a wave of anger against China after the news of martyrdom of Shaheed Satnam Singh. The news of martyrdom is not yet being told to the martyr's wife, parents and children. He has only been told that Satnam Singh has been seriously injured and is undergoing treatment.

Apart from this, Shaheed Naib Subedar Satnam Singh 3rd Medium Regiment was posted in Ladakh. Satnam Singh was born on 18 January 1979 and joined the army on 23 August 1995. Wife Jaswinder Kaur and the two children are yet to hear of the father's martyrdom. Martyr's daughter Sandeep Kaur (17) and son Prabhjot Singh (16) were sitting near grandmother Kaur. Bhai Sukhchain Singh is also a Subedar in the army. He has come home from Hyderabad on leave. The first news of martyrdom was received from other people by Bhai Sukhchain Singh. Sukhchain Singh said that even officially, he has not been told about martyrdom. He has told so much in this regard also in the family that he is injured, he has got injuries. Bhai Sukhchain Singh said that the dead body of the martyr has reached Ladakh and is expected to come within 24 hours. He demanded from the government that the children of martyrs should be given jobs.
