Though Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda gave clarification on his tweet regarding Gurmehar Kaur's protest.

But the girl's response on his tweet is hard hitting and savage to him. Gurmehar on Randeep Hooda's comment tweeted: "I didn’t tweet my hands did."

The controversy took shape after Randeep applauded the cricketer Virendra Sehwag for mocking Kaur’s online campaign by: "I did not score two triple centuries, my bat did."

However, Randeep later said, "I do believe I should have been more careful about my tweets and a young girl like her shouldn't have gone through it."

He added, "I didn't know who this girl was and I saw a tweet by Sehwag and I often laugh at his jokes. He jokes about all kind of things and I just laughed at it and I didn't look at it. Then, I start getting messages and some prominent journalists were commenting on it. Then, I quickly went back on Twitter and saw what's happening. I very precisely said that do not politicize this poor girl's point of view and those two words were taken - poor and girl - then they said you are a misogynist and sexist. I said hey! I pointedly said that violence is wrong. People were coming up with things like despite being a girl, she is thinking about it. Let me clarify that I wasn't aware of it then and when I did become aware, I issued a statement and it was not directed at her at all."
