Guru Purnima has a special significance in Indian culture today. The beginning of the month of Ashad is on this day. In Indian culture, after the parents, the teacher has been given the most special place. This is the day when students worship their guru, they bow down in front of them and take their blessings. Students thank their gurus for making them what they are. 

This day is also celebrated as Vyas Rishi's Birthday. Vyas Rishi was a great scholar and scholar of Sanskrit. He has created four Vedas. Therefore, Guru Purnima is also known as Vyasa Purnima. If the guru was not there then we would not gain any knowledge. Therefore, there is a special place for the gurus in the society. Even today, the whole country celebrates Guru Purnima with great enthusiasm.

Special programs are organized in schools and colleges on this day. Apart from this, Guru Purnima events are organized in many places in the city. We have to realize that every person coming into our life is in a way that is our Guru because they teach us something in one or the other way. Guru Purnima has special significance in the world of art. This is a way to celebrate this day by giving gifts to your gurus. It is also considered that the use of the knowledge given by the guru to be the true Dakshina of the guru.
