New Delhi: The controversy over open prayers has been growing in Gurugram for quite some time now. Govardhan Puja was performed yesterday in Sector 12 at the same place where Friday prayers are offered. Political turmoil has begun over this case. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has reacted to the puja in place of Namaz. He has shown it as direct hatred for Muslims.

 

'Direct hatred for Muslims': Asaduddin Owaisi posted on Twitter that Protests against Friday namaz in Gurgaon are a perfect case of how radicalised these “protesters” have become. It’s plain hatred towards Muslims. How’s practising my faith or offering Jumah namaz once a week for 15-20 mins hurting anyone?

Puja in place of Namaz: Where it is learnt that the Govardhan puja ceremony was started on Friday at the same park in Sector-12 where Friday prayers were offered. During this time the heavy police force was deployed at all places. BJP leader Kapil Mishra was also present at the puja. He demanded that roads are not meant for religious activities.

Peaceful puja and Namaz: According to the information received, the police administration completed the meeting with both sides on the prior namaz and pujas, the police also appeared on high alert between the puja and the Namaz. According to police officials, everything went peacefully. No incident came to light from anywhere.
