New Delhi: A case of murder has came to light after a 5-year-old minor innocent girl was raped in Gurugram adjoining the country's capital Delhi. Where the girl's neighbouring young man had allegedly taken the innocent from the house on pretext and raped the girl in a nearby field and then killed her. Police have arrested the accused youth in the case. The victim's family celebrated the girl's birthday on Saturday evening, a day before the incident.

The case is from Sohna area of Gurugram district. According to the police official, the father of the victim told the police in Tahrir that he was originally from Uttar Pradesh. He has been living in a rented house in a village in Gurugram for 7 to 8 years. He explained that they have 2 boys and 1 girl. On Sunday morning he went to work as usual. His wife and children at home, but after some time his wife called him and told him that Raja had taken his daughter on the pretext of getting something from the house and even after a long time his daughter had not returned to home.

According to the police official, the victim's father said in a statement to the police that when his wife and neighbours reached the field behind their house to find the girl, they noticed that the innocent girl was lying injured on the ground and the accused was also standing there. Seeing them, he fled the spot. They brought the girl to hospital where doctors declared her dead. Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident and seized the body of the girl. On the demand of the family members of the deceased, the police sent the body of the girl to the mortuary in Gurugram in the evening. According to police, a postmortem of the girl's body will be conducted on Monday.
