Guwahati: The Guwahati High Court has given a big statement giving the verdict in a family case. The court said that if the wife is refusing to wear sindoor and bangle, then she should be deemed to have refused the marriage. Saying this, the court, during the hearing of a case, allowed the person to divorce his wife.

According to the news of the news agency PTI, the High Court was hearing a family case in which a husband applied for divorce from his wife. The case was being heard by Chief Justice Ajay Lamba of the Guwahati High Court, Justice Saumitra. Earlier this case was in a divisional court, in which the husband was not allowed to get a divorce. The High Court commented on the matter saying, "The wife's refusal to apply the bangles and vermilion shows her that she is not married or she does not want to accept the marriage." Such efforts clearly show that the woman is not happy in this marriage and does not want to go ahead with her husband.

The court wrote the decision on 19 June. The couple whose case was they were married in 2012. In the beginning, there was a rift between them and since 2013, they were living separately. A complaint was lodged in the police on behalf of the woman. In this, the husband and in-laws were accused of harassing her. The High Court while commenting on the lower court in this case said that the court did not listen to the statements. However, these allegations were not proved.
