Varanasi: Arguments in the court on Thursday concluded in the court on the amendment in a petition to hand over the Gyanvapi Mosque, adjoining the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi, to the Hindus. The order is expected to come in the evening. The petition filed in the Civil Judge (Fast Track) on three matters, including banning the entry of the Muslim side, is being heard.

The plaintiff's counsel had sought in the last hearing for amendment on three points in the 77-page petition. The counsel for the defendant Anjuman Thakiyan Masajid then argued for rejecting the demand for the amendment. The court posted the matter for July 21 after the hearing. The order in this regard will come in the evening. Kiran Singh, Vikas Sah and Vidyachand, general secretary of the Vishwa Vedic Sanatan Sangh and Adi Vishweshwar, have moved the court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ravi Kumar Diwakar demanding that the Muslim side should not be allowed to enter the Gyanvapi Mosque premises.

At the same time, the Hindus are demanding that the Gyanvapi complex should be handed over to the Hindus for worship and the worship of Adivishveshwar should be started with immediate effect. The plaintiff had argued for the report of the court commission proceedings. Even before the hearing of the petition, the District Magistrate had transferred the case to the fast track court.
