NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old gym owner, Nadir Shah, was shot dead in South Delhi's Greater Kailash-1 on Thursday night. The attack occurred as Shah was leaving his gym. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The shooting happened around 10:40 PM, prompting immediate police intervention. The District Commissioner of Police (DCP), South Delhi, Ankit Chauhan, confirmed that seven to eight bullets were fired during the incident. The police have formed five teams to handle the investigation and surveillance related to the case.

The murder is suspected to be linked to Rohit Godara, an associate of Goldy Brar from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Godara claimed responsibility for the shooting in a social media post, asserting that the killing was ordered after Shah allegedly interfered with their business operations. "Anyone who dares to obstruct our deals will meet the same fate," Godara's post stated.

Surveillance footage shows the shooter, dressed in a checkered shirt, approaching Shah and firing multiple shots before fleeing on a motorcycle parked nearby. Bullet casings and projectiles were found at the crime scene. DCP Ankit Chauhan confirmed that Shah was rushed to the hospital by his friends but was declared dead upon arrival.
